Experience the energising potential of city green space! In an age when we work and think inside most of the time, these walks allow you to bring the power of ‘outside’ into your strategic and everyday thinking about life and business.
Join coach, artist and outdoor guide Victoria Scholes on a short walk through the city in the company of a small group and explore how the encountered green space can refresh and invigorate your thinking.

Victoria founded Natural Thinking to bring together the power of walking, being outdoors and creative coaching techniques to help you achieve the things that you aspire to in life and work. Victoria is a Relational Dynamics 1st accredited coach and a Member of The Association For Coaching. WHAT TO EXPECT
The walk will explore the Castlefield area of Manchester, the nearby Urban Heritage Park and St John’s Gardens. We’ll enjoy both guerrilla and licensed greenery as the season turns and atune ourselves with the natural city environment. And we’ll bring the clarity and restoration that can come from spending time in green space into our work and lives with some gently structured coaching as we walk and talk in changing pairs. I’ll explain fully as we go.

We’ll start at Canada House with a brief introduction to the process, the thinking and the science that underpins these walks, then head along the Rochdale canal path to Duke’s Lock, explore Castlefield basin for a short while before heading through the Urban Heritage Park, past MOSI to St John’s Gardens before heading back to Canada House. It’s about 3 miles and will take an hour and a half.

Before you come, have a think about something that you’d like to achieve, aspire to or work on. Coaching tends to work at its best around a goal. But don’t worry too much about this – just come as you are…

WHAT TO BRING
The usual stuff you would wear for getting about the city, and perhaps lingering for a few moments, guided by the weather of the day. So you might want to make sure shoes are robust and waterproof, coats are warm, and that you have rain gear if necessary. Plus a hat and gloves if it’s one of those chilly Autumn days…

WHAT ABOUT THE WEATHER?
Ok, so it might rain. We’ll go ahead unless it’s blowing a gale. But make sure to wear something to keep you comfy of it’s cold or wet. We’ll keep an eye on the weather and in the unlikely even we should have to cancel, we’ll get in touch the day before. Make sure you’ve registered so that we’re able to do that.
