M2B’s “Made Up North Breakfasts“
are a valuable way to encourage and develop the talent of people working in Manchester. The format is simple: over a great breakfast you meet like-minded professionals, learn from outstanding, senior professionals who share insights and lessons drawn from their unique business experience. It’s a relaxed environment with plenty of conversation, it’s invitation only (we deliberately keep it to 6-8 guests) and we make sure we stick to our timings!
When: Friday 12th July, 8.00 – 9.15am
Where: The Albert Square Chop House, Albert Square, Manchester. M2 5PF
Guest Speaker: Simon Leighton, Managing Partner Croftons LLP
Under Simon’s leadership Croftons has developed from a traditional property firm to an industry-leading, full service housing, regeneration and commercial real estate specialist, employing a legal team of over 25 sector-experts and supporting over 45 housing and local authority clients, alongside a diverse range of private sector organisations.
As managing partner, Simon has ultimate responsibility for our growth strategy and business planning, service delivery and client satisfaction, and the efficient management of our central services and internal operations including finance, business development and marketing. Simon has developed a high-performance, supportive workplace and in 2015 Croftons achieved IIP Gold Accreditation in recognition of the positive culture and development opportunities Simon has championed.
Simon is a Non-Executive Director at Peaks and Plains Housing Trust, a Non-Executive Director at Forum Housing Association, and a Trustee of Ministry 2 Business – a charity serving Manchester’s business community. He is also closely involved with the local legal community working with the likes of BPP University and the Manchester Law Society to help nurture the next generation of legal talent.
In his talk Simon will share key lessons and wisdom he’s learnt and applied throughout his work.
