TED ON TUESDAY
With over 2,900 talks online to stir our curiosity TED is a global community, welcoming people from every discipline and culture who seek a deeper understanding of the world. It’s an organisation with a simple agenda: to make great ideas accessible and spark conversation.
So we thought it would be a great way to start the working day by having a bit of breakfast together, watching a TED talk and having an informal discussion in small groups to share the immediate encouragements and relevant challenges that flow from the presentation.
If you work in Manchester city centre you’re welcome to join us. We can host up to 25 people in the Screening Room at Canada House so please RSVP by email to reserve your place.
When: Tuesday 12th February, 8.00am – 8.50am
Where: Canada House, Screening Room, 3 Chepstow Street Manchester. M1 5FW

About The Talk:
When it comes to facing our fears or thinking about what might go wrong in life, many of us cope by ignoring those thoughts and hoping for the best. In this TEDx Talk from 2017 Tim Ferriss shares something of his struggle with depression and how he developed a system, inspired by ancient Stoic philosophy, to cope with high stress moments. He honestly states his system isn’t the magic tool that will always work but it does provide a helpful way to stop burying our head in the sand.
