Open To Question. “Why Bother With Christianity?”
With Rico Tice
In partnership with Deloitte Christian Fellowship and Ministry 2 Business, Open To Question is an opportunity for professionals and business leaders working in Manchester’s city centre to explore some of the key questions people have about the Christian faith.
Topping the list of 2,000 people in the recently published study “Who Is Bigger?” Jesus Christ continues to inspire, intrigue and infuriate people across the world. Writer and scholar C.S Lewis once said: “Christianity is a statement which, if false, is of no importance, and, if true, of infinite importance. The one thing it cannot be is moderately important.” Yet many people in the UK today would say Christianity isn’t even moderately important to them, it’s just irrelevant.
In this lunchtime talk, Rico Tice will offer some reasons why Christianity makes sense of who we are and what we do. Anyone is welcome to attend whether you have religious beliefs or not.
You can expect:
A relaxed environment with a light lunch.
A conversational, thought-provoking talk based on a passage from the bible.
Q & A time to ‘grill the speaker’. There’s no pressure to take part and questions can be written down anonymously.
When: Thursday 20th March, 1.05 – 1.55pm
